Technical & Market Intelligence Analyst

The Technical & Market Intelligence Analyst will support AM Mining Technical Marketing team by conducting data analysis, gathering market intelligence, preparing reports, and coordinating daily activities. They will help ensure operational continuity, contribute to value-in-use (VIU) assessments, and deliver actionable insights to guide strategic decisions and product positioning.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the preparation and formatting of technical presentations for commercial, asset, and customer stakeholders
- Collect and organize data for VIU models, benchmark analyses, and customer reports
- Coordinate the tracking and documentation of R&D programs such as sinter pot testing and ore characterization
- Support the preparation of content for BAR, MET, and S&OP technical inputs
- Manage documentation for customer complaints and support follow-up actions with relevant teams
- Conduct competitor analysis and track developments in iron ore and steel markets
- Prepare monthly and quarterly market intelligence summaries with relevant trends, price movements, and demand forecasts
- Develop dashboards or reporting tools to support both technical marketing and market analysis
- Collaborate with sales, strategy, and R&D teams to share insights and coordinate messaging
- Maintain internal document repositories and templates used in reporting and customer communication
Experience & Technical competencies :
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or technical support role, ideally in mining, metallurgy, or industrial sectors
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to interpret market trends and link them to product strategies
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
- Interest in learning about VIU, iron ore market trends, and product positioning
- Ability to work across technical, commercial, and strategy interfaces
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, metallurgy, geology or a related field
- Master's degree is a plus but not mandatory
