Position: Senior Compliance Officer – Compliance Monitoring

Contract: Permanent, full time (40 hours)
Hybrid (3 days onsite)
As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the organization adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Your primary focus will be on compliance monitoring and controls, identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks. You will act as a trusted advisor to the business, support cross-functional initiatives, and contribute to fostering a strong compliance culture across the organization.
Some of the things you will be doing
• Execute the Compliance Monitoring Plan, ensuring timely follow-up on findings and remediation actions.
• Perform compliance reviews and control testing to assess process effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Investigate potential compliance breaches, escalate issues appropriately, and track remediation efforts.
• Maintain and update compliance monitoring tools, risk matrices, and control frameworks.
• Serve as a day-to-day compliance advisor, providing practical guidance on regulatory and policy matters.
• Promote awareness and understanding of the Three Lines of Defense (3LoD) model across the organization.
• Communicate compliance risks and developments clearly and concisely to leadership.
• Contribute to cross-location alignment of compliance practices and procedures.
• Support implementation of risk reduction plans and assist in rolling out new tools or systems.
• Prepare compliance KPIs and reports for senior management and regulatory stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior compliance staff.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of compliance training programs and awareness initiatives.
• Regulatory & Policy Oversight
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure timely updates to internal policies and procedures.
• Assist in preparing for and responding to regulatory examinations and internal audits.
Skills & Qualifications
• University degree in Law, Economics, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification and experience in compliance.
• Previous experience in compliance monitoring or audit is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Compliance function and a solid understanding of fiduciary services within the PFS industry.
• In-depth knowledge of AML/CFT and Sanctions regulations, covering Luxembourg, EU, and US.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); French and German are considered strong assets.
• Proven ability to liaise effectively with business teams, leadership, and other stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• Assertive and confident personality, capable of challenging actions appropriately and constructively.
