OffWorld is a robotics startup working on developing a mobile robotic workforce for heavy industrial jobs on Earth, Moon, asteroids & Mars. OffWorld was founded by an experienced engineering team drawing on decades of tackling formidable engineering challenges at NASA, ESA, NOAA, Maxar Technologies, CERN, Reaction Engines, SAFRAN, Surrey Satellites and Cisco. OffWorld's first challenge is developing and maturing a modular robotic system for extreme environments on Earth. Our robots will go deeper underground and farthest on Earth than humans can, eliminate the need for humans to work in life-threatening environments in mining, construction, tunneling and other dangerous industries, and dramatically reduce the environmental footprint and cost of operations in key economies on Earth and beyond.  

OffWorld Europe SARL, based in Luxembourg, is an affiliate of OffWorld, Inc. (OffWorld US), with its headquarters in Altadena, California. Combined with its South Africa & Australiia operations, OffWorld currently has over 85 team members and over 6,000 sqm of engineering facilities. OffWorld Europe will focus on developing and deploying modules for extraction and storage of resources on the Moon.

OffWorld Europe is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Analyst Intern to join our team. As a Business Analyst Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our market analysis efforts, conducting an in-depth review of lunar ISRU companies, space agencies and other public entities, performing a SWOT analysis, and providing insights into the current positioning of OffWorld Europe in this niche market; you will analyze the impact that our lunar ISRU technology development could have on the terrestrial mining market; and you will use this knowledge to contribute to the development of high-quality proposals led by OffWorld Europe's Head of Business Development. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the emerging field of lunar resources utilization while also analyzing the terrestrial mining market to explore how our technology can support the mining industry.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Market Analysis: Conduct research on both the lunar resources utilization and terrestrial mining markets. Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, customer pain points, and use cases. Leverage AI-based data analysis techniques to identify opportunities for integrating our technology and provide recommendations to support the mining industry.
• SWOT Analysis: Perform in-depth SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analyses of OffWorld Europe's technology in relation to both lunar resources utilization and terrestrial mining. Identify key internal and external factors influencing the success of our initiatives and propose strategies to leverage strengths and address weaknesses for both markets.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, organize, and analyze data related to lunar resources utilization, terrestrial mining trends, and customer needs. Utilize AI-powered analytical tools and methodologies to derive insights and generate reports. Present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to OffWorld's Managing Director, the Head of Business Development and other stakeholders, highlighting the benefits our technology can provide to the industry.
• Presentation and Communication: Effectively communicate complex information derived from market analysis in a clear and concise manner. Prepare short reports, presentations, and visualizations that demonstrate how our technology aligns with the lunar ISRU and terrestrial mining industry's requirements and goals.
• Proposal Development: work with the Head of Business Development to contribute to the production of high-quality proposals. Assist in data gathering, analysis, and interpretation for both lunar and terrestrial contexts. Develop compelling content and value propositions that showcase our technology's potential in supporting our customers.

To hit the ground running, you need experience in the following:

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize complex data from both lunar resources utilization and terrestrial mining markets.
• Proficiency in market research techniques, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.
• Familiarity with SWOT analysis and strategic planning concepts
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for space exploration, lunar resources utilization, and the vision of OffWorld ).

Duration and Compensation: This is a full-time internship position with a flexible duration of up to 6 months, depending on the candidate's availability. The internship will take place at our headquarters in Luxembourg. OffWorld Europe offers a competitive internship compensation package commensurate with qualifications.
