Legal Counsel (m/f)
Integrated within Mota-Engil Africa, the role will be responsible will be responsible for managing and overseeing the activities of the company incorporated in Luxembourg, ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance and supporting the Group's financing operations. The role encompasses both legal and corporate responsibilities, including the analysis, negotiation, and drafting of contracts and legal documentation related to financing transactions, security packages, keep well agreements, comfort letters, parent company or intergroup guarantees, bank guarantees, surety bonds and related finance documentation, as well as interaction with financial institutions, external counsel, and internal stakeholders.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the Group's international financing structure based in Luxembourg.
Requirements:
Degree in Law;
5 to 10 years of professional experience in banking or financial law;
Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written);
Strong knowledge and practical experience in English Law;
Proven experience in negotiating financig agreements (including MLA-standard agreements), bank guarantees, and other legal documentation related to financing operations;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
High sense of responsibility and professional ethics;
Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
Team player with a results-oriented mindset.
