Principales tâches et responsabilités

About the position

The responsibilities of the Senior Buyer is to provide a service to internal customers, purchasing products and services at the best price, quality and delivery time to reduce cost in the Supply Chain and be constantly looking to drive waste and ultimately cost out of the business.

To support Purchasing Manager and share knowledge and know-how with Purchasing Assistants.

Your day-to-day tasks are the following:

  • To provide a service to internal customers, purchasing items at the best price, quality and delivery time to reduce costs in the supply chain and to be constantly looking to drive cost and waste out of the business.
  • Hire equipment for user departments and management of this.
  • To ensure value for money is achieved for products and services by negotiation with suppliers.
  • To achieve cost savings with current suppliers and introduction of new suppliers.
  • Keep up-to-date regarding new potential suppliers entering markets and current suppliers developing new technologies (products and services).
  • Hold supplier negotiations via telephone, meetings, and or written communications.
  • Ensure all items are purchased from approved suppliers and to the most advantageous commercial terms for Kronospan
  • Supplier rationalisation
  • Payment terms rationalization
  • Use SRM system for reporting minutes of meetings.
Profil

  • At least 5 years of working experience as senior/project/technical buyer in industrial field;
  • Fluent in French and English, German is a serious asset;
  • Bachelor Degree in Business/Economic or Supply Chain or Technical studies;
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
