The Role:
M&G Group has had a presence in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg since 2002. This business comprises a Super ManCo managing and distributing circa EUR90bn of AuM covering UCITs, real estate, private equity, private credit and other alternative strategies.

The Management Company is distributing the group’s products and services within the EEA through its European branches, subsidiary, as well as a large network of third party distributors and intermediaries internationally.

This person will manage a team that is responsible for carrying out KYD, KYC and AML due diligence on new and existing contractual counter parties of the Super Manco, including PEP, Sanction and Adverse Media screening.

Further responsibilities of the team include professional and timely DDQ and AML/CFT advisory services in regards to distributor / client on-boarding and distribution oversight, ensuring that the business understands it’s regulatory and legislative responsibilities and acts in accordance with M&G Group financial crime policies.

This is a key role in the M&G Luxembourg S.A. governance model. The role holder will therefore need to be flexible and proactive and contributing to define, establish and evolve the necessary procedures, processes and reporting framework and manage the team accordingly.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

- To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G’s operational risk.
- Manage, oversee and motivate an efficient and positive team with sufficient resource to carry out the referring tasks and responsibilities.
- Ensure that the team structure, competencies and strategy is fit for purpose, including the scalability to support M&G’s expansion plans.
- To manage and facilitate the relationships with Key Clients and internal Stakeholders for the onboarding and oversight of M&G’s contracted clients.
- Work with M&G's Sales Teams to ensure the due diligence requirements are understood and supported
- Monitor and report on all RCSAs for the department
- Act as a delegate for the Operations & Client Services Director at meetings on an ad hoc basis
- Have control and oversight of team budget and recruitment
- Participation and sponsorship in projects, and assistance in provision of information to auditors and closure of audit points
- Production of reporting to relevant governance bodies, such as boards and internal and Group committees
- To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance the overall control environment, customer outcomes and a reduction in M&G’s operational risk.
- Managing and performing oversight and due diligence on shareholder activities (KYD, AML/KYC customers files assessments; screening). Ensuring business is conducted in compliance with relevant laws, rules and regulations and as per M&G’s risk appetite
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of the KYD, KYC/AML Due Diligence Framework including screening and monitoring practices, tools, procedures, and AML/CTF assessment grids in accordance with regulatory requirements, Group and local policies and M&G’s risk based approach
