Financial Controller

Our client is a family-sized management company active in real estate and having established its office in Kirchberg.

**The responsibilities**:
Accounting, Reporting & Control
Participate in the preparation of the annual budgets, including revenue and costs assumptions, reforecasts and cash flow projections for the AIFM and other companies of the Group;
Support the Finance team in improving budget, forecasting and reforecasting processes in order to prevent or anticipate deviations, resulting in an increase in accuracy and efficiency;
Cooperate with the Finance team in managing efficiently the investment (liquidity reserves) of the regulatory capital of the AIFM;
Participate in the improvement of the internal recharge of cost model and the monitoring of the recharged fees;
Take part in the improvement of the internal tools to increase quality of control and efficiency of the finance function;
Calculate quarterly and annual capital requirement (own funds requirements);
Review the quarterly management fees;
Monitor closely the cash on a standalone and consolidated basis;
Participate in the preparation of interim accounts and the determination of amounts to be distributed;
Support the Finance & Legal team in performing cash reconciliations and monitoring, validating invoices and their payments;
Support the Finance team in controlling the calculation of NAVs, AUMs and performance of each of the strategies of the different funds and subfunds;
Take part in the implementation and development of the accounting policies and procedures for the AIFM, the Funds and the different entities of the Group;
Take part in the implementation and development of the tax policies and procedures for the AIFM and the Funds;
Participate in the implementation and development of the control processes and framework for the AIFM, the Funds and the different entities of the Group;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and optimize operations, resulting in increased efficiency and timely delivery of financial and regulatory reports;
Critically review and analyze the stand-alone accounting deliverables and financial statements;
Coordinate with external auditors for the preparation of the audits of the stand-alone financial statements for the AIFM.
Taxes
Coordinate with external advisers for the preparation of tax declarations (CIT, MBT, NWT, VAT) and payment of taxes in general for AIFM
Participate with the Finance team in Transfer pricing projects
Reporting and external legal obligations
Ensure that the filing of the quarterly and annual CSSF reportings for the AIFM are done on time
Ensure that the filing of the annual accounts of the AIFM and other entities of the Group are done on time
Ensure that the filing of CTR/VAT returns of the AIFM and other entities of the Group are done on time
Other
Perform other duties, as assigned by the CEO and the Senior Management.
Monitoring of the performance of the several services providers (accounting, tax, audit.)

**Profile**:
Holder of a Bachelor's or a master's degree in accounting, Finance
At least 2 years of relevant accounting/controlling and audit experience in AIFMs or in the Alternative Investment Funds industry;
Very good knowledge of Lux GAAP; experience in Consolidation processes and IFRS is a plus
Good understanding of company law and tax aspects for Luxembourg companies
English is a MUST, others languages are an asset
Strong analytical and Excel skills
Attention to detail, rigorous, flexible, precise, well organized, strong team player, excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to work independently and in an international environment.
