**Role summary**:
As part of Capital Group growth plan in Europe and Asia we are expanding our IST (Investor Services Team) Oversight in our Luxembourg office to primarily support the oversight of delegate network, here distributors.

Under general direction you will work independently to effectively conduct initial, periodic and ongoing due diligence together with risk assessment on financial intermediaries (FIs) distributing Capital Group (CG) funds to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations. Also, in coordination with management, you will assist in monitoring and documenting outsourced service providers. You will work on recurring processes/assignments related to the IST Oversight functions, ad-hoc/external client requirements and projects, and where required under the supervision of more senior staff.

**Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrates strong expertise on AML and KYC matters with a sound understanding of regulations directly impacting the delegate space
- Performs ongoing oversight (followed by risk assessment) on financial intermediaries:

- Works closely with internal teams to gather and thoroughly review information on new distribution relationships against internal policies, procedures and external regulatory guidelines
- Identifies issues or areas of concern and communicates these concerns to management.
- Performs daily screening of distributors as a corporate as well as, that of all relevant related individuals to ensure that financial crime alerts are investigated without delay
- Performs initial and periodic distributor due diligence in accordance with the review cycle in place, including desk research, screening, information gathering within CG, appropriate tools (e.g. Bankers Almanac, Dow Jones, Ume) and, if pertinent, has meetings with distributors by either telephone, video conference or directly in person. Challenges response received to the due diligence questionnaire.
- Escalates any hits or concerns (detected PEPs, relationships requiring MLRO sign-off)
- Presents findings and recommendations to relevant groups as required
