ARHS Group, part of Accenture, is looking for a **System Architect - Cloudian S3 Storage** (M/F) to join a key project for a European Institution. You’ll design and support secure, scalable Cloudian S3-compatible storage solutions in close collaboration with cloud and DevOps teams.
**THE WORK**:
- ** Storage Management**: Manage Cloudian S3 storage clusters, ensuring high availability, reliability, and efficient storage usage.
- ** Backup and Recovery**: Design recovery and disaster recovery strategies using S3-compatible object storage systems.
- ** Monitoring & Optimization**: Proactively monitor storage performance, capacity, using HyperIQ for AI-powered analytics and insights.
- ** HyperBalance**: Ensure optimal load distribution across storage nodes, maximizing performance and reducing bottlenecks.
- ** Security & Compliance**: Ensure that storage solutions comply with security standards, encryption protocols, and relevant data privacy.
- ** Automation**: Develop and implement automation scripts to manage storage lifecycles, backups, and provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible.
- ** Troubleshooting**: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to storage performance, data loss, access, and security.
- ** Documentation**: Create and maintain documentation for storage architecture, policies, configurations, and disaster recovery plans.
**Remote**: This role offers the flexibility to work remotely for most of your scheduled hours.
**HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED**:
- ** EU citizenship**.
- Fluency in** English** (written and spoken).
- ** 10 years of experience** in storage engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a similar role with a focus on S3 and object storage systems.
- ** HyperBalance**: Experience with HyperBalance for efficient load distribution across nodes in object storage environments.
- ** HyperIQ**: Expertise in using HyperIQ for monitoring, analytics, and improving overall system reliability through AI-driven insights.
- ** Cloud Platforms**: Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly using S3 APIs or similar object storage services.
- ** Storage Protocols & Tools**: Knowledge of object storage protocols and tools (e.g., AWS S3, NFS, CIFS, and REST APIs).
- ** Disaster Recovery**: Proficiency in designing and implementing backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies using S3-compatible storage.
- ** Automation**: Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell for storage management and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
- ** Security & Compliance**: Understanding of encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms to ensure secure storage environments.
- ** Monitoring Tools**: Experience with monitoring and alerting tools for performance management, capacity planning, and uptime (e.g., HyperIQ, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
- ** Troubleshooting Skills**: Strong problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of object storage operations, network connectivity, and performance tuning.
- ** Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
**BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE**:
- SAFe certification (SAFe Architect, SAFe Agilist, or similar).
- Experience in managing Agile teams and familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly in the context of SAFe.
- Demonstrated experience with Cloudian HyperStore, HyperBalance, HyperIQ, or similar distributed storage platforms.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud storage setups (integrating on-prem and cloud storage solutions).
- Experience with containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes (using object storage with Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with data migration and replication strategies for large-scale storage environments.
