If so, the Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) Routing and Planning team is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work cross-functionally across program, product and operations teams on the prioritization, development, optimization and sustainment of technology and processes to positively impact customer impact and support business growth. Specifically, the team owns On the Road (OTR) planning inputs and performance for our last mile drivers.
AMXL, formerly known as Special Handling, obsesses over customers by offering a white glove service where we deliver TVs and other large items like furniture in customers’ homes. Not only do we deliver large parcels, we unpack, assemble, install and haul away old items as needed.
This role is a functional expert on the product tools in the routing execution space. Must have strong program management experience to identify first point of failure in last mile delivery processes and partner with product stakeholders to better provide best in class tech to operators.
Key job responsibilities
Highlight areas of business risk and impact for Technology Team resource allocation and provide input on software design to support lean processes and standard work
Partner with tech organization on the business requirement documents (BRD) by providing the voice of the operator/driver across regions (NA, EU, UK) to Tech stakeholders. Provide an operator perspective and technical understanding across platforms to facilitate the successful development of tech initiatives to reduce complexity, decrease operator decision points, and design towards solutions that optimize for cost / quality
Provide standard work process execution and product functionality support to operators and drivers. Provision of support for performance improvement, troubleshooting/problem solving for specific core operational tools and process paths.
Be responsible for the triage of change requests to support a worldwide intake of product needs across customers
Support business program implementation within the current routing and planning architecture
Provide a single point of contact for business case development for new requirements and initiatives
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
