- Our Marketing department in Luxembourg is currently looking for an **Events and Marketing Officer** (One year fixed-term contract with a possibility to renew)
**Department purpose**
Our Luxembourg Business Development, Marketing and Communications (BD & MarCom) team contributes to the setting and achievement of the Luxembourg office’s overall strategy and business objectives, supporting lawyers in developing their business. This includes building and maintaining client relationships, winning new clients, focusing on key client sector groups, increasing the visibility of the firm on the Luxembourg market and across borders, and positioning the firm as the leading and most advanced law firm on the market. Thanks to the international nature of the work of our Luxembourg office, our team collaborates on a daily basis with the members of A&O’s international network of business development and marketing professionals, providing support across offices, practice groups, sectors and clients.
**Role purpose**
Main responsibilities will include:
- organising internal events, such as social committee events and town hall meetings;
- assisting with the organisation of client events, seminars and conferences (including in‑person, virtual and hybrid events);
- coordinating and co-organising third‑party events (e.g. with local industry associations);
- maintaining and managing a list of third‑party service providers for events and reviewing them on a regular basis;
- assisting other teams in organising internal and external events (i.e. Pro Bono);
- developing (new) ideas for events - proposing innovative concepts and venues, and maintaining the events agenda;
- looking for sustainable and innovative advertising items for client events;
- assisting with certain internal processes and marketing databases;
- assisting with the drafting/coordination of internal communications and PR‑related activities;
- assisting in the creation and management of client communications/e‑alerts;
- updating the corporate website, brochures and other communications;
- assisting in managing the A&O community on social media; and
- assisting with any other ad-hoc marketing and communications support.
**Key requirements**
- Graduate (ideally with a background in events organisation/marketing/communications).
- Two or more years of relevant experience.
- Professional working proficiency in French and English languages (oral and written).
- High attention to detail and commitment to outstanding service, quality and professionalism.
- Self-confident and proactive.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines, juggle multiple projects, and deliver under pressure; ability to plan and anticipate one’s own workload; ability to balance conflicting priorities and managing expectations; and ability to communicate effectively.
- Team player, open-minded, friendly, good-humoured, and creative.
