Acre is partnering with ArcelorMittal, one of the world's largest steel manufacturing companies. ArcelorMittal is a leading player in the transition to clean and responsible steel production, and one of the founders of the ResponsibleSteel initiative.
To expand their sustainability capabilities and to support their ambitious targets, ArcelorMittal is looking to appoint an ESG Regulatory Reporting Manager to the team. This position will support the global steel business in navigating an ever-evolving ESG regulatory reporting landscape. The role sits within the Finance Team, reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, and partners closely with the Sustainability Team.
This position will oversee the preparation, implementation and delivery of the company's ESG regulatory disclosures, including CSRD and SEC, and will work across various project delivery teams. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from multiple business segments and operations, including environment, HR, H&S, social performance, and Group Finance.
**Your most important responsibilities will be**:
- Project managing ESG regulatory disclosures including overseeing preparation, implementation and delivery of CSRD and SEC disclosure reports
- Preparing CSRD and SEC reporting frameworks with qualitative and quantitative data the company is required to report on
- Engaging with auditors who will require access to one source of data and information on a regular basis
- Project managing the configuration and implementation of a new ESG disclosure tool in conjunction with the software provider, implementation consultant, Group Finance, Corporate Environment, Corporate H&S, Corporate HR, and Operations
- Conducting training of corporate business owners and the ESG network on how to use the customised ESG disclosure tool effectively and contribute with relevant content
- Host monthly reporting sessions to the Steering Committee to update progress on ESG regulatory reporting and executing guidance and decisions being made
**Who you are and what you bring**:
- A strong background in financial and/or non-financial auditing and reporting, and a proven ability to deliver complex reporting projects.
- Knowledge of relevant ESG frameworks and upcoming EU and global regulatory challenges (CSRD, SEC, and other non-financial information frameworks).
- Experience in extractives or other heavy industries is highly desirable.
- Experience managing and delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects in complex matrix organisations.
- Strong ESG knowledge to support you in working with the implementation and management of ESG projects.
- Confidence and ability to operate independently, as you will be the point of contact for senior management and key stakeholders in the business.
