Our finance team closely partners to support this rapidly expanding business while building a connected network from Inbound, Fulfillment, Delivery Stations, trucks, and technology to deliver customers' Heavy and Bulky packages on time - and installing them at their home sometimes. The AMXL FP&A leader partners closely with operations and finance teams to influence the strategic direction of the business, drive operational excellence, and make sound investment and expansion decisions.
Key job responsibilities
AMXL Finance seeks a Senior Finance Manager to lead our worldwide FP&A organization. You will own key financial reporting and alignment, develop key processes around the organization's goals, and to perform financial analyses of major business events. You will become a valued business partner by focusing on core finance functions, identifying and publishing key metrics and work on special projects to achieve optimal performance.
Additionally, you will need to build new analytical tools for decision making - Leading finance and BI teams in providing analysis and insights, and effectively communicating results to senior leadership in order to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions;
- Driving continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including implementation of best practices and automation initiatives, collaborating with technology teams - Mentoring and supporting junior team members, driving diversity and inclusiveness
A day in the life
This role will partner will multiple stakeholders within both finance and the business leadership to provide insight, analysis and financial leadership as we rapidly expand and evolve the AMXL business. This role will provide extensive cross-functional opportunities to partner with teams including Global Delivery Services (GDS), Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), Global Consumer Fulfillment (GCF), and Amazon Logistics (AMZL), and various FP&A teams. This role will create and sustain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.
- MBA and/or Professional certification (CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting certificate)
- Mastery of P&L and understanding of portfolio financials
- Comfortable with large volumes of complex data and presenting their findings to senior management
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
