Junior Risk Manager Aifm

The role will primarily involve responsibility to ensure that the risk management is effective, documented and meets the legal and regulatory provisions applicable to investment banking, investment funds and management companies/investment fund managers. It is an in-house position and located in Luxembourg.
**Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the AIFM risk management framework in accordance with the
- Luxembourg regulations and the Group policies and procedures
- Monitoring of Risk Management metrics, compliance, and AML controls in each area of the AIFM processes
- Counterparty risk and liquidity risk through existing risk monitoring reports and performing investigations using available risk tools and systems
- Compilation of risk management reports to senior management, fund boards and the regulator CSSF
- Perform the risk profiles of funds when required
- Involvement in the maintenance of risk management systems, interfaces, reporting-tools and related workflows
- Preparation of regulatory reporting and filings
- Participation in the investment committees of the AIFM
- Prepare and review reports for the management company board and fund board meetings meetings by aggregating information from multiple risk reports
- Close cooperation with investment team
**Skills / experience**:
- Strong academic background in Finance, Business Administration, or Business Informatics/ Applied Mathematics
- First experience in risk management, compliance, and fund audit
- Proven knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory environment
- Professional qualification (CFA, CAIA, FRM etc.) is advantageous
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
- Risk/Financial modelling and analysis skills
- Advanced MS-Office knowledge is required
- Fluency in English (written and spoken), and French would be a plus
- Experience in PE and VC funds is preferred
