The HR Consultant / Deputy Head HR reports to the local Head of HR and takes on responsibility in delivering comprehensive HR services to meet the needs of our line management and employees as well as advising, coaching and supporting line managers in performing their managerial and leadership function and the employees with regard to everyday HR issues. In this role, the HR Consultant collaborates with the local Head of HR and the Global HR Business Partners in the day-to-day business. Furthermore, the HR Consultant ensures a state-of-the-art local employment framework and deals with requirements from and acts as extended arm of the global HR centres of expertise. Finally, as Deputy Head HR, is responsible for assisting the Head of HR in the HR team daily organisation, administration and governance and deputize the Head HR in his/her role as Member of the Management team.
**YOUR CHALLENGE**:
Deputy Head HR
- In developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in line with the legal, regulatory and group framework
- In overseeing the recruitment, selection and onboarding process, including critical functions and Key Function Holders process
- In handling Employee relations issues and providing guidance to the Senior Management on Employment Law related topics
- In managing HR projects portfolio and D&I initiatives
- In following up on HR budget and team daily administration and tasks
HR Consultancy
Advising and Coaching
- Advise and Coach the Department / Team Head in his/her area of responsibility in operational and/or personal changes
- Support the leadership team to act as role models, instilling our values and behaviour and set the tone from the top as well as cascading through teams
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and cascade regular employee engagement tools and ensuring that regular employee communications using multi-medium communication channels to drive employee engagement
- Employee advisory
Recruitment
- Ensure a state-of-the-art local employment framework by staying abreast of market trends and alerting local management, global HR competence centers and your line manager of any planned or upcoming changes. Pro-actively implement changes in local law and practices and amend local content where required (policies, guidelines, manuals, templates and other documents).
- Work with internal clients and specialists, as well as external counsel as required to mediate, negotiate and settle employment cases ensuring that appropriate authorization and buy-in are achieved in respect of case management strategies, demonstrating sound commercial and pragmatic decision making and influencing
- Recruitment of Senior Management
Employee life-cycle / HR Processes
- Manage all employee life-cycle events
- Assist line managers in the low performer and redundancy process
- Handle inquiries and provide straightforward advice on everyday business
- Support the line manager with severance processes in resignation, retirement or dismissal situations
Regulatory & HR Governance
- Responsible for HR related Reporting
- Assist the Head HR in regulatory related matters incl. MiFID II, and regulatory compensation reporting
- Cooperating with Rewards & Performance Management in any compensation-related topic through identifying and raising local needs (e.g. remuneration policy, remuneration report, salary benchmarking), implementing global processes and standards, and ensuring the local compensation governance and regulatory requirements.
**YOUR PROFILE**:
- Master degree in Business Administration /diploma in HR
- 5 - 10 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably from the financial sector
- Skilled and practiced in recruiting & advising, potentially 1st experience as Deputy Head HR
- Good knowledge in local employment law
- Confident in dealing with line managers and employees of different personalities
- Proficient user of relevant IT systems (MS Office)
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English. French and German are a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
- Client-oriented and passionate about advising and servicing employees
- Empathic personality and good judgement skills
