**Luxaviation Germany** is looking for a **Flight Operations Manager** (NP Flight Operations). This person is responsible for the flight operation, establishment, standardisation and update of all relevant manuals and checklists, issuance of flying staff instructions, compliance of the flight personnel with regulations, checklists, and limitations. All flight personnel report directly to him. NP Flight Operations will report to the Accountable Manager of Luxaviation Germany.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Make every effort to provide an environment for safe flight operation
- Determine all flight operational standards and practices
- Ensure that Luxaviation Luxembourg aircraft are operated according to their certificates of airworthiness and within the limitations of the relevant approved AFM
- Implement and publish the OM, Parts A, B including MEL(s), and C; all OM amendments (including acknowledgement of receipt), where necessary in cooperation with the aircraft manufacturer, in accordance with the competent authority.
- Publish other necessary directives for the flight crew and operations personnel (Memos, bulletins and notes, etc.)
- Document and implement corrective action requests deriving out of audits, inspections, or any other assessment
- Ensure that following an accident/incident, all action taken are compliant with the requirements as defined in the operation Manual Part A Chapter 11 Handling, Notifying and Reporting Accidents, Incidents and Occurrences. He is a member of the Emergency response team (ERP)
- Liaise with Flight Operations Managers from other Luxaviation AOCs to promote, as far as possible, group standardisation in all aspects of flight operations
- Ensure that the aircraft are equipped, and crews are qualified as required for the area and type of operation
- Ensure that flight operations documents are properly maintained and stored
- Handle administrative matters in relation to flight documents and staff file recordings
- Control Crew scheduling, crew composition and monitoring in compliance with applicable Flight Time Limitations
- Employ flight crew to ensure sufficient crew availability for the scope of operation
- Conduct inspections in all areas of the flight operations department
- Conduct inspection flights, to check the professional standard of the company’s crew, and to recommend improvements in standards and procedures
- Determine the usability of aerodromes for company operations and decide on restrictions for their use
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments of equipment and best practices
- Ensure that any contractor employed meets the required Luxaviation Flight Operations standards since the company remains responsible for the perseverance of proper standards
- Conduct data evaluation as an input to the Safety Review Board

**Qualifications**
- Airline transport Pilot Licence (with associated rating appropriate to the type of operation conducted under the AOC is an advantage)
- Familiarity with Management Systems
- Educated to A ‘Level or equivalent standard

Experience*
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- Appropriate experience in similar function
- Hold or have held line training, line check captain qualifications

Knowledge*
- Good knowledge of relevant EASA & relevant National Aviation Authority regulations
- Knowledge of business aviation

Skills & Competencies*
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and German. Other languages are considered a serious advantage.
- Good presentation skills
- Strong IT software understanding particularly Microsoft office packages
- Strong Analytical skills and the ability to produce high level statistical analysis to demonstrate trends
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
- Resourcefulness, adaptability and high level of personal motivation and commitment
- Ability to balance a high workload with a broad scope effectively
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadline
- Excellent time management
