The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its **Chief Financial Controller Directorate (CFC) - Internal Controls and Assertion Division (ICA) - Financial Instruments and Mandates Unit (FIN&NPC)**, at its headquarters in Luxembourg**:TRAINEE**
**_ Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1_**_st_**_ September/October 2025)_**
**_ (With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University)_**
**Objective of the traineeship**:
As a trainee, you will support the project related activities of the Financial Instruments and Mandates Unit (FIN&NPC) within Internal Controls and Assertion Division, Financial Control Department. The unit is responsible with the ICF (Internal Control Framework) processes in Finance Directorate (FI), Group Risk&Compliance Directorate (GR&C), the New Product approval process (NPC) as well as with the projects of implementation, upgrades and management of the GRC tool. You will also support the GRC tools testing, reporting and data quality checks activities. The traineeship will provide you with an interesting work experience in the area of project management related to Internal Controls and also an insight on the day-to-day activities of a division within the Financial Control Department.
**Responsibilities**:
Your main tasks will be the following:
- Contribute to the projects of the Unit, get familiar with the scope of the projects, assist the teams in planning, participate in the testing and analysis of results and contribute to the implementation;
- Contribute to presentations, training materials and manuals produced by the team;
- Assist the ICF - Financial Instruments and Mandate team with the data input, data mapping and data quality checks with regards to ICF's;
- Prepare the ICF reporting;
- Perform reconciliations and data quality checks on the GRC tool reports.
**Academic qualifications and professional skills**:
- Final year of studies or University degree preferably in Finance, Audit, Business Management;
- Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and Power Point);
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
