**Background**

Approximately 2,900 new cancer cases are diagnosed each year in Luxembourg (Registre National du Cancer, 2024). In January 2023, the Luxembourg Institute of Health has launched the Colive Cancer study with the aim of understanding the overall experience of patients diagnosed with cancer and treated in Luxembourg, from the diagnosis to the post-treatment phase. By gaining insight into patient’s experience, we want to identify areas for improvement of patient cancer’s journey.

The master's student will analyse quantitative Colive Cancer data pertaining to the cancer diagnostic phase.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Participate in writing a research protocol;
- Conduct descriptive statistical analyses;
- Analyse and interpret statistical results;
- Present scientific findings (e.g., oral presentation within the department, scientific article).

Additionally, she/he will have the opportunity to engage in other research initiatives within the ACADI group, such as systematic reviews.

**Key Skills**
- Master student in Public Health, Nursing, Epidemiology;
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in French and/or English.

**Training and Research Environment**

This internship position will enable the student to develop, among other things, skills in statistical analyses, scientific writing, as well as project planning and teamwork.

The Master student will be supervised by Gladys Langue, PhD student, and Dr. Sophie Pilleron.
