The RNC is aimed at providing an objective analysis of cancer evolution in Luxembourg and enables healthcare professionals and public authorities to better assess the quality of care provided to patients suffering from cancer. A further goal is to evaluate prevention campaigns and national cancer screening programs. In the medium term, the registry will serve as a tool to evaluate whether the National Cancer Plan is achieving its objectives. One of the purposes of the RNC is to be an infrastructure dedicated to epidemiological and clinical research in oncology.
