Our client, well-known Luxembourgish industrial and services group, is looking to recruit a
**Data Protection Officer (M/F/X)**
**Based in Luxembourg**
**Role**:
- Directly reports to the CEO
- Oversee and manage processes to ensure the company's compliance in handling and protecting personal data.
- Ensuring that processes are compliant with EU data protection regulations
- Advise and train employees on internal and external obligations. Make them aware of the importance of personal data management.
- Consult with the various departments to improve processes by creating new ones or changing them.
- Ensure that action plans decided are properly executed.
- Keeping up to date with new policies, rules and laws that need to be implemented.
- Report to management on the various risks to which the company is exposed.
- Understand and maintain links with the company's IT operation.
- Maintain the necessary registers and documents.
**Profile**:
- Master or equivalent in Law or Economics
- Proven work experience in data protection and legal compliance of at least two years is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge and monitoring of GDPR and national and European regulations.
- Good IT knowledge
- Ability to handle confidential data.
- Autonomous and able to take the initiative.
- Able to communicate at all level of the organisation.
- Fluent French and English mandatory. German and/or Luxembourgish are an asset
