**Job Description**:
You will ensure Byborg Group companies are compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR.) and any other applicable data protection law including California legislation.
You will manage organizational data protection system and oversee our Data Protection/GDPR compliance in all the group companies in Luxembourg and abroad.
The role includes the appointment as DPO in some key group companies.
From an organizational perspective you will take care of the coordination in the Group of any data protection activity including creating alignment, consistency and collaboration. With any other (i) dpo (ii) legal counsels (iii) professionals engaged in the field of Data protection
You shall also attend relevant committees and support the Group General Counsel in this respect.
**Tasks and Responsibilities**
Under the supervision of the Board of Directors of Byborg Enterprises and with the support of the Group EVP General Counsel/Managing Director Byborg Enterprises:
- Creting and implementing a Data Protection compliance plan
- Following up on the abovementioned plan
- Coordinate data breach response and notification procedures
- Identify and evaluate the company’s data processing activities
- Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance and address potential problems
- Provide advice and instructions on how to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
- Advise on company’s compliance with GDPR and local data protection laws
- Create guidelines, policies, systems and procedures that enforce compliance with legislation
- Monitor data management procedures and compliance within the company.
- Participate in meetings with managers to ensure privacy by design at all levels
- Monitor and Maintain records of processing operations conducted by the Company
- Liaise with other organizations that process data on behalf of the Company
- Write and update detailed guides on data protection policies
- Perform audits and determine whether we need to alter our procedures to comply with regulations
- Offer consultation on how to deal with privacy breaches
- Provide internal legal support to the group business on DP matters
- Provide internal legal guidance to group business on DP matters
- Manage legal search and up dates in the DP field
- Manage and support the business on GDPR aspects
- Any other related tasks that may be assigned by supervisor or direct line manager
**Qualifications**:
- 5+ Experience in data protection and legal compliance
- Proven work experience in data protection and legal compliance
- Solid knowledge of GDPR and national data protection laws
- Knowledge of data processing operations in the company’s sector
- Familiarity with computer security systems
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ethical aproach, with the ability to remain impartial and report all non-compliances
- Strong organizational and attention to detail
- Expert knowledge of data protection law and practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English language and French
- DPO certificate is a plus
