**Overview / Purpose of the Role**:
The Service Operations (Operations) Profession is responsible for the delivery, oversight and management of functional teams undertaking operational and transaction-based processes, working within agreed policies, procedures, Key Performance and Risk Indicators. Operations objectives include designing and implementing a robust control environment that allows and drives efficient and effective processing. The environment should ensure we meet regulatory requirements and can verify the completeness and accuracy of all transactions and operational processes. The objectives include operational assurance on the integrity of the books & records and deliver effective service to our clients. Operations develop and maintain effective relationships across client and partner groups.
The Clearing and Settlement Operator is accountable for managing the end-to-end clearing and settlement process; ensuring smooth and timely market settlement of securities and cash transfers between Deutsche Bank and its counterparty. This includes clearing and settlement through primary and secondary markets, or direct payment to clients and banks.
The Clearing and Settlement Operator supports interfaces with different internal and external stakeholders (front office, clients, brokers, nostro agents, exchanges and clearing houses) involved in the clearing and settlement process chain, according to the market standards. The role is responsible for trade date to settlement date processes (pre-matching and confirmation, trade processing, cash transfer, instruction routing, depot and inventory management, funding and settlement monitoring) and post-settlement date processes (fails management).
**Key Responsibilities & Duties**:
Inputting, processing and monitoring of settlement instructions
Main contact for our internal and external clients
Matching of confirmations
Managing of nostro balances and handling of cash/securities reconciliation
Implementing of new procedures and/or improving existing procedures
Monitoring of the Service Provider regarding timing and quality
Responsible for UAT testing
**Other activities and responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, may be entrusted with the function holder.**
Provide support in Terms of Regulatory Reporting
**Requirements to access this function (ex. Education & Work Experience )**:
Min. 3-5 years of equivalent work experience in a comparable work
Regulatory Reporting
**Knowledge / Technical Skills (Hard Skills)**:
Analytical and organizational skills
Good knowledge of regulatory and Luxemburgish legal requirements
Sense for discretion and confidentiality
Advanced MS Office and database skills
