Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.
Group Insurance Capital Solutions is in charge to the design and implementation of capital management solutions on insurance related risks, with the objective of transferring/covering insurance risks, protecting the Group balance sheet and optimizing the capital position of the BUs. In particular it consists of the investigation, the structuring, the execution and the maintenance of:
- Structured solutions (ART, e.g. non-traditional reinsurance transactions on Value-In-Force, interest rate guarantees, run-off portfolio or disposal transactions),
- Strategic solutions (like the setup and management of captive entities and the implementation of tools to facilitate transactions and improve capital fungibility),
- Capital market solutions (like ILS, e.g. catastrophe bonds - catbonds - and other insurance securitizations) and on the life and non-life insurance business of the overall Generali Group
In line with the findings and the identified needs, the targets of the solutions are mainly the following:
- optimization of the solvency ratio (acting both at Own Funds and Capital Requirement level),
- protection of the profit & loss account,
- remittance increase
- will be primarily supporting the Responsible for Strategic Solutions on the management and execution of the capital motivated transactions involving Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. - Luxembourg Branch;
- will help in managing the specifically related section of the Luxembourg Branch for all the ancillary activities (e.g. underwriting, administration), independently from the other areas of the branch but in cooperation with GEB/GHO/outsourcers on a case by case basis;
- will also work on the Strategic Solutions and on some Group or company specific project where transactions can refer to both non-life insurance risks and life insurance business, depending from time to time on the priorities and the targets defined by the top management
Must have
- at least 2 years of experience in insurance/reinsurance companies (preferably within the Group) or broker houses;
- actuarial and/or insurance/financial/economics studies;
- capability to interact with internal senior colleagues and senior representatives of external counterparties/consultants
Nice to have
- English speaking/written at good level
- accountable, flexible, collaborative, innovation oriented, proactive
