**Brief description**: The Upper School Social and Emotional Counsellor is a resource person for students, teachers and parents within the school. The Upper School Social and Emotional Counsellor is the person to whom concerns related to child development, behaviour, relationships within the family, the school and the larger community should be addressed.

**Profile**: (training, experience, skills and aptitudes necessary to do the job)
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree or equivalent in an appropriate field of study;
- Training and experience in educational psychology, counselling and diagnostic testing;
- Familiarity with and understanding of recent developments in secondary education;
- At least two years’ successful similar experience in an international school setting;
- Ability to converse fluently in English; other languages a benefit.
- Experienced in working in a collaborative teaching environment;
- Technologically competent in digital resources and programmes (e.g.: Atlas Rubicon,
- Office 365, Schoology, Google suite)
- Understanding of and experience with teaching students who are English Language Learners.
