Mission
The Consultant will be supporting with the following tasks:
- Communication of the best practices regarding the modern data architecture and proposing improvements for the current state
- Review of existing data governance policies and processes and proposal for improvements
- Testing the usability and requirements of the new data governance tool (MS Purview)
- Identification of data custodians
The Consultant will be responsible for providing the following deliverables:
- Presentation and communication of modern data architecture and market best practices
- Analysis of the current state and identification of the gaps regarding data architecture
- Draft proposals for improving data governance framework, policies, and processes
- Draft of requirements for the data governance tool and test of those requirements
- Identification of custodians for the data assets in the data catalogue
- Regular status report
**Skills**:
- More than 6 years and up to and including 8 years of experience
- Experience with Data Governance methods, tools, and techniques
- Experience in designing/developing or improving data architecture
- Experience in development and/or maintenance of Master Data Management concept
- Extensive experience in similar assignments
- Experience in developing Data Governance Framework, Strategy, Data Governance policies and processes
- Experience in project management and coordination of tasks
- Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Knowledge of international best practices regarding data governance (e.g. DAMA/DMBok)
- Knowledge of MS purview would be an advantage
- Previous work experience with EU institutions or international organizations would be an advantage
