Lead Accounting Coordinator 1

We are looking to hire a Group Intermediation Accounting Manager who will be in charge of leading the project and operational teams in charge of the Intermediation Accounting for Client Funds Handling on the strategic target processing platforms and dealing with diverse payment flows for a multitude of entities. Teams are located in multiple countries.

You will be a member of the “Intermediation Accounting” team that as a whole focuses on the finance aspects of Client Funds Handling on strategic target platforms as well as on local platforms: accounting of these flows, executing of adequate controls, homogenization of processes and methodologies and implementation of strategic tooling. It also challenges, when relevant, business decisions based on the overall understanding of and empowerment on the end-to-end process. It possesses at the end of the day, a sound understanding of the top line and disposes of the keys to anticipate trends impacts on financial KPIs and cash-flows.

In this role, you’ll report to the Head of Group Intermediation Accounting Manager. There is also a strong connection required with the technical project teams, in particular in the area of reconciliation, and often in the context of migration from local platforms to the strategic target processing platforms.

We are only satisfied when system set-ups, processes, procedures and actions are in place and enable projects go-live and guarantee the financial flows watertightness commonly realized via reconciliation of data. We are always looking for new and innovative ways to improve our processes, build excellent tools supporting these processes, and enable the control environment to continuously grow.

The project team has 3 people working on project and support to an operational team of 10 people dedicated to our daily reconciliation operations of Client Funds Handling on the strategic target platforms.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include

As a successful Group Intermediation Accounting Manager, you
- guarantee the watertightness of the payment flows running on the strategic target platforms through set-up of efficient accounting and excellent reconciliations
- design and implement adequate control environment to prevent and detect incidents and unauthorized activities
- design and implement adequate reconciliation tools and ensure its maintenance
- lead the project and operational team to ensure that daily intermediation accounting operations work efficiently and appropriate incident management is in place, define priorities and manage escalations

Signs of success

As a successful hire, you have the Intermediation Accounting team working to a predictive mode in day-to-day Finance/Business core.

You tackle the alignment of intermediation accounting principles across Worldline by inquiry of the different entities, consolidation of a cross-view of practices, arbitration on common principles and implementation of the agreed aligned principles.

You contribute in a partnership mindset with Finance and Business teams to an improved understanding and documentation of end-to-end processes of Client Funds Handling. You build our reputation as a trusted partner through collaboration with other departments in the business.

Skills we can't do without:

- You ‘ve got substantial knowledge of accounting and an understanding of consolidation requirements

- Motivation and passion for identifying and suggesting improvements when problems and/or opportunities arise

Skills we'd like:
It would be great if you had the following skills, too:

- You are graduated with a Master degree in Finance
- You have between 10 and 15 years experience in total
- You have an experience in the area of reconciliation of a minimum of 5 years in an industry exposed to massive transactional data like funds, banks or equivalent, ideally combined with an initial Financial Audit experience as a Manager in a Big 4 is a plus
- You gained experience in data modelling and data analytics
- French and/or German is an asset
