The incumbent is responsible for risk controlling of all trading and treasury activities for Bank Julius Baer Europe S.A. such as interest rate, credit spread and liquidity risk. These activities include comprehensive reporting to the local Management, the Supervisory Board, the Head Office, as well as the CSSF. You assure transparency of incurred risks and maintain an adequate risk appetite framework and risk management framework. You are contributing to the further development of risk strategies and its adaptation to the changing needs. You assure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and best practice including the yearly ICAAP/ILAAP process, Recovery Plan, IRRBB, stress testing and regulatory requirements for sustainability and climate risks. You assure the implementation of global standards and support Global functional team work as well as the daily operations in terms of risk calculation (risk scenarios), limit monitoring.
**YOUR CHALLENGE**:
- Daily monitoring, reporting and annotation of the liquidity risk
- Processing of analysis and ad-hoc requests
- Performing of the local ICAAP/ILAAP, preparation of the ICAAP/ILAAP report and policy, incl. local risk strategies and their reconciliation on a yearly basis
- Ongoing review of the Contingency-, Recovery
- and Resolution Plan to ensure regulatory compliance
- Yearly update and implementation of Key Risk Indictors, Risk Appetite Framework and Risk Management Framework
- Assurance of a punctual, complete, and correct risk reporting (daily/monthly & quarterly)
- Assurance of the internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Managing the Local Key Control plan
- Performing the Investment Controls, guideline, and performance controls.
- Support Local Head Risk Management in providing regular risk reporting to Local Management, local banking authorities, and to Head Office
**YOUR PROFILE**:
- University degree (Business Administration or Economics) or similar education or qualification
- At least 5 years of experience in Risk management
- Solid regulatory understanding Extensive knowledge of ICAAP and ILAAP regulatory guidelines
- Profound knowledge in IRRBB and Stress Testing
- Able to oversee complexity.
- Excel/VBA power user, knowledge of databases, ability to extract necessary information from data for further analysis.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage.
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Good analytical and conceptual skills
- Be decisive, proactive and act with care and assertiveness.
