The legal department advises the management of Swiss Life Asset Managers Luxembourg and supports its business teams on a vast range of legal, regulatory, contractual, and corporate matters. Swiss Life Asset Managers is an authorised UCITS management company, alternative investment fund manager and holds ancillary MIFID licenses. The legal department also assumes key responsibilities in the setting up of new investment funds and maintenance of existing structures. As such legal is also in charge of coordinating filings with the Luxembourg regulator as well as the drafting and negotiation of fund documentation, agreements, side letters, marketing documentation etc.

To strengthen our team, we are hiring a motivated Legal Advisor(f/m/d).

**Responsibilities**:

- Assuming prime responsibilities in fund (both UCITS and AIFs pursing inter alia RE/infrastructure/ debt strategies) formation and maintenance on behalf of the Legal team.
- Participation in preliminary fund structuring discussions to determine the most appropriate structure for a specific project
- Drafting of the legal documentation of the funds under management and amendments thereto
- Drafting of review of the management, including delegation of investment management or advisory functions
- Review and negotiation of the service agreements to be entered into with the relevant service providers (e.g., the depositary, the central administration agent)
- Liaising with external legal counsels
- Liaising with the Luxembourg regulator in view of obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals
- Assisting in the set-up, amendments, and liquidation of investment funds
- Work closely with other legal colleagues to provide advice and support to them and to management on various issues relating to fund and investment structures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements applicable to and relevant to Swiss Life Asset Managers.

Experience
- Degree in law
- At least 2 years of experience in fund laws and regulations gained either in a Luxembourg law firm or another management entity
- Interest and motivation to work in a fast growing medium-sized company
- Communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking, ability to manage files on a day-to-day basis but with proper escalation to the head of department or other senior colleagues
- Legal and technical language skills in English, German and/or French
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to give pragmatic advice
- Eager to learn and be part of a collaborating team
- Accuracy, confidentiality and punctuality
- Ability to prioritize and manage effectively multiple and complex tasks
