Four years’ experience in compliance roles in financial services, ideally a second line compliance role in payments and/or e-commerce technologies.
- Familiarity with financial crime regulations and laws in Luxembourg.
- Proven ability to identify and interpret regulatory requirements, and communicate them to business teams.
- Strong knowledge of the EU regulatory landscape.
- Passion for collaborating with high energy and focus, driving results across multiple projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to translate concepts into clear steps and communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced compliance professional to join the Amazon Payments Europe (APE) Compliance Office team to invent simple solutions to difficult regulatory issues.

Key job responsibilities

**The Compliance Manager will**:

- Identify and assess relevant EU and Luxembourg financial crime laws and regulations, conduct gap analyses, and advise on required changes in the Amazon business.
- Provide accurate and timely second line Compliance advice to the business, in conjunction with stakeholders, on how to manage and mitigate conduct, compliance and financial crime risks within new and existing business propositions and product launches.
- Work with Legal, Risk and business stakeholders to develop and maintain our compliance policies and control framework.
- Act as SME and point of contact for the business on key financial crime topics.
- Lead projects both within Compliance and on Compliance contributions to business projects.
- Monitor and report on compliance risks and issues, collaborating with internal risk management teams (AML, Risk Management, InfoSec) to identify necessary mitigation steps.
- Assist in the provision of regulatory reporting to the CSSF, BCL and other regulators as required.
- Create and deliver training on compliance matters to the Compliance organisation and the wider Amazon business.

A day in the life

**The Compliance Manager will**:

- Map newly-published regulations and perform a gap analysis against the existing control environment.
- Engage with business stakeholders to provide compliance advice in relation to an existing product.
- Write compliance requirements for new product implementation.
- Review and update Compliance policies to ensure they remain up to date with regulatory requirements, and communicate any changes to business stakeholders.
- Liaise with business stakeholders and data teams to compile data in relation to regulatory reports and ad hoc requests.

About the team
This role is a key part of the Amazon Payments Europe (APE) Compliance team, which is based in Luxembourg. The team is responsible for providing second line Compliance advisory and oversight in relation to the regulated financial services activities performed by Amazon in the EU.
- Certification in compliance related area such as ICA, CertPay or CRCM preferred.
- Direct experience with P2P, credit, prepaid, lending, or e-commerce compliance advisory.
