Solvency & Reinsurance Specialist

**About the role**

As iptiQ EMEA P&C Solvency and Reinsurance specialist, you will have a unique and exciting opportunity to join us: a diverse and motivated team, committed to delivering value and innovative services together with our clients and partners in the primary insurance space.

**Responsibilities**

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Solvency and Reinsurance specialist in Luxembourg. Your focus will be on our non-life insurance iptiQ EMEA carrier based in Luxembourg where you will support the Chief Financial Officer in two strategic areas: solvency and reinsurance.

You will be in charge of capital planning in the context of the fast-growing entity. You will be responsible for the Solvency II reporting covering the Luxembourg parent company and its European branches under the standard formula. In your role you will aim at the continuous improvement of the solvency reporting processes and ensure operational completion to reduce operational risk.

You will support the Chief Insurance Officer and the Chief Financial Officer in the implementation and renewal of the reinsurance program, covering both external and internal reinsurance. You will be involved in the XoL panels management and engage with the brokers as well as support the Swiss Re Group governance framework around internal reinsurance.

In addition, you will also contribute to the preparation of the Annual Accounts, the quarterly and annual regulatory reporting to the insurance supervisor, internal reporting to Senior Management, the Business Unit and the Board of Directors as well as ad-hoc reporting requirements.

As a key member of the finance team, you will play a central role in the balance sheet management and financial planning of the entity, in close coordination with the key function holders. You will manage the internal coordination with various Group and Business Functions within Swiss Re and key partners to ensure effective financial management of the company.

**About You**
- Five or more years of work experience in the insurance industry with significant involvement in solvency 2 reporting (standard formula)
- Additional experience in reinsurance program management is a plus
- Analytical skills with holistic financial thinking
- University degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration
- Qualification in Accounting and/or Audit is desirable
- Experience in IFRS, Lux Gaap and other European local GAAP standards desirable
- Project management capabilities and experience
- Team player with good communication skills, as well as engaging and motivating
- Excellent command of the English language
