Scientific Project Manager

Within the University, the **Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) **is a highly interdisciplinary **research** **centre** (IC), integrating experimental biology and computational biology approaches in order to develop the foundation of a future predictive, preventive and personalized medicine.

**Your Role...**:
The Interventional Neuroscience Group runs several research projects in the field of **Operative Neuroimaging**, technologically building on **biomedical signal analysis and medical image computing. **The projects cover medical image analysis and data science for improved **deep brain stimulation**, signal analysis and translational work **towards more robust AI models for medical image computing, **in particular being applied to data from **neurodegenerative diseases **and** brain tumours. **All projects share the overall aim to contribute towards a **next generation of neurosurgery.**

**Key Tasks **involve the management of:

- Scientific strategy of the project
- Contribute to the hiring processes of the upcoming staff
- Obtain ethical and regulatory approvals
- Compliance with data protection and exchange regulations
- Interfacing between collaborating institutions, including setup of scientific partnerships and the required collaboration agreements
- Preparation of future steps of our long term “Operative Imaging” initiative
- Internal scientific knowledge management
- Training of students in project and scientific knowledge management matters
- Editing of scientific reports for national and international funding agencies or donors
- General scientific support of the PI / the team coordinator in the coordination of research activities
- Optimising the communication and dissemination of the team

**What we expect from you**:

- PhD with experience in research management
- Scientific track record
- Autonomous self-starter with very strong organisational and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, team-working and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm and great commitment to research
- Excellent command of English language
- Knowledge of the local research landscape is an asset
- Command of German, Luxembourgish or French is an asset
