**Responsibilities**:
As a Compliance Director with Hines, you will be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive compliance program is maintained in accordance with the Luxembourg regulatory framework. The Director will report to the Hines Chief Compliance Officer (based in London) and will supervise one team member in Luxembourg. The Director will work closely with the Conducting Officer responsible for Risk and Compliance. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Assist the Directors and Conducting Officers in complying with the obligations under the AIFM regulations and CSSF Circulars, including analysis of relevant legal and regulatory changes and active participation in working groups convened for new projects, implementation workstreams and similar.
- Identify and assess the compliance risks through maintenance of a compliance monitoring program, assessing adequacy and effectiveness of controls, policies and procedures; propose actions to address any deficiencies; ensure compliance policies and procedures are adequate.
- Be appointed as RC (Responsible for Control of AML/CTF obligations), reporting to the relevant Board of Directors (appointed as RR) for various management companies and investment vehicles.
- Prepare annual and periodic reports for the Conducting Officers, the board of directors and the regulator.
- Oversee AML/KYC matters related to outsourced Transfer Agency. Supervise initial and ongoing Client Due Diligence (“CDD”) where transfer agent is in house.
- In partnership with the Conducting Officers, manage the CSSF self-assessment questionnaire, internal and external audits, and other similar requirements.
- Be a member of the client Acceptance Committee, reviewing Client Due Diligence reports prepared by outsourced Transfer Agent or in house team.
- Provide compliance support to colleagues, answering queries from internal and external parties in a timely manner.
- Supervise, coach and develop your direct report; be a collaborative member of both the HLIM team and the global compliance team.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements include:

- Bachelor's degree.- Completion of recognized professional compliance qualification.- Membership of a recognized compliance association e.g. Association Luxemourgeoise des Compliance Officers (“ALCO”) would be advantageous.
- Five or more years of compliance experience, including alternative investment management. Working knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering regulations and Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive and associated regulations. Practical experience of CSSF Circulars would be beneficial.
- Good communication and influencing skills to build relationships with individuals at all levels.
- Willingness to work collaboratively across functions, in a team environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- High level of initiative, the ability to act independently using sound judgment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. French, German or Luxembourgish would be beneficial.
