Amazon Logistics is seeking a Peak Captain to join our team and lead cross-functional alignment and optimization programs accross EU AMZL teams including the parity of Sub Same Day operations and reporting with Next Day for both peak and off peak execution. This is a unique opportunity to help ensure Amazon Logistics delivers the strategic growth plan of Sub-Same Day.

The SSD captain will report into the EU AMZL Peak captain who is the single-threaded leader coordinating the strategy, implementation and execution of the Delivery Service Partner Prime Day and Holiday planning. This Captain role will work to ensure that cross-functional teams develop programs that enable scaling of the SSD businesses to meet increased demand and growth plans. For example, Delivery Service Partners need programs to support driver hiring, increasing their fleet size, ensuring enough uniforms supply, incentivizing Delivery Service Partners to scale, and more.

The role will collaborate with the product, technology, program and operation leaders to build an end-to-end strategy and project plan. They will provide regular leadership updates, lead analyses to reflect on each peaking period, and continuously improve how Delivery Service Partners scale for these peak periods.

They will advocate for Delivery Service Partner experience throughout the planning process, listen to Delivery Service Partner feedback, and work to continuously improve the program.

Key job responsibilities
- Leading, directing and managing the project management office for the business, financial and administrative functions of the Peak planning program
- Developing feedback mechanisms to solicit input from Delivery Service Providers on their Peak experience
- Driving continuous improvement in the Peak planning processes and programs
- Designing the communication strategy for all changes, preparing drivers, Delivery Service Providers, and operation associates to scale
- Analyzing and leading regular leadership updates outlining the progress and preparation for Peak.
