**Role Purpose**:
The Contract Lead provides excellent knowledge to plan, implement and execute roaming agreements, sponsored roaming agreements, discount agreements, and other commercial contracts between VRS and third-party operators, MVNOs, Vodafone Local Markets, and other business partners.
The Contract Lead drives the contract life cycle process from drafting, and negotiating commercial and legal terms and conditions to contract signature and execution. Throughout the execution phase, the Contract Lead proactively monitors the contract performance and ensures all obligations of the contract are met by the contracting parties.
The Contract Lead manages the relationship with the contracting parties including communication, contract-related questions, and escalations from third parties via the Central Roaming Inbox team.
**You will**:
- Drive all contract-related activities across all functional areas of VRS, deciding on priorities, resource allocation, and securing approval from all relevant stakeholders before signature.
- Protect VRS from legal, regulatory, and commercial risks by ensuring appropriate contract clauses, e.g. sanctions, anti-bribery, and fraud, are included in all contracts and agreed upon with all contracting parties.
- Manage contract execution for all aspects of contract performance by overseeing the delivery of services, revenue assurance, and SLA performance to ensure all contractual obligations are met by the contracting parties and the full contract value is being realized.
- Continuously improve the VRS contract management framework, including standardization of contract clauses, digitalization, and process automation as well as the development of new contract frameworks to support the diversification of VRS’ commercial portfolio.
- Propose contract standardizations for new services, e.g. VoLTE, LPWA, 5G, for industry-wide adoption via relevant industry bodies, e.g. GSMA.
- Advise colleagues and guide less experienced contract managers.
**Core Competencies**:
- Significant experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiations.
- Robust understanding of the roaming industry and technologies.
- Experience working in Roaming or Telecom industry.
- Highly developed communication and influencing skills enabling effective stakeholder interaction up to C-Level in a multinational business environment.
- Self-organized, driven, and customer-focused with strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Innovation focussed and value driven; used to learn fast from experimenting with new ideas.
- Professional in Microsoft Office products.
- English language proficiency (both written and spoken).
