Due to the continuous development of our activities, we are looking for:
Inspector - Approved Training Organizations & Licenses (M/F/X)
POSITION INFORMATION:
Type of contract: Permanent, Full-time
Date of entry on duty: Immediate
Location: Luxembourg
Application deadline: 28th February 2023
ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING:
Reporting to the Head of Licensing department, you participate to the certification and safety oversight of Approved and Declared Training Organizations in Luxembourg, as well as in the monitoring of technical requirements in view of issuing aircrew licenses and licenses inspections.
Your scope of work will include:
Oversight programme implementation including inspections and audits in compliance with EASA air crew licensing regulation (EU) 1178/2011,
Continuous implementation of technical requirements of administrative procedures applicable to air crew licensing (EU) 1178/2011 and associated implementing regulations,
Training Organization document review and approvals (Organization Management Manuals, Operations Manuals, Safety Management System Manuals, Training manuals…),
Assistance and support to training organizations,
Airport on-site licenses inspections,
Flight inspections (if qualified),
Participation in the issuance of licenses,Technical support to the Head of Department,
Follow-up of ICAO/EU regulations in relation with air crew licensing,
Development of internal procedures and checklists,
Participate in international working group or workshop if necessary,
Promotion of civil aviation in Luxembourg.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Post-secondary aeronautical education with 10 years of experience in aviation, or 5 years in a training organization environment or within an Aviation Authority in a position dealing with Air Crew Licensing, or hold or have held a JAR/EASA-FCL commercial/air transport pilot license.
Experience, technical skills and competences:
Mastery of audit methods and techniques,
Good knowledge of aviation regulations in air crew licensing, especially ICAO Annex 1, Basic regulation Annex IV from (EU) 2018/1139, and air crew implementing rules (Reg. (EU) 1178/2011),
Good knowledge and understanding of Management System concept,
Good command of both written and spoken English. Good knowledge of French and/or German language is an asset,
MS Office and computer literate,
Experience in a Civil Aviation Authority will be an asset,
Holders of a CPL or ATPL will be an asset.
Social & personal skills:
Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines under demanding conditions,
Good team spirit and ability to work as part of a team,
Effective organization skills,
Strong commitment to promoting a service minded and customer oriented administration,
Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative and self-driven personality,
