Financial Services Expert for Depositary Operations

The company offers a wide range of banking-related services to institutional investors, including depositary, custody, and other financial solutions.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Expert for our Depositary & Ancillary Services Department.
Depositary Operations SpecialistKey Responsibilities:
- Support the team in providing exceptional depositary deliverables as defined by regulatory requirements;
- Establish effective communication with clients, third-party stakeholders, professional advisors, and MUFG members to ensure seamless depositary operations;
- Contribute to day-to-day operations, including managing client requests, maintaining fund portfolios, and responding to internal and external stakeholders;
- Assist junior staff members in performing cash-flow monitoring activities and duties, obtaining, and analyzing legal documentation to verify ownership;
- Review, collect, and ensure that all necessary documentation for complex assets transactions linked to depositary operational processes is in place and followed;
- Control and perform safekeeping of assets and record-keeping duties for complex asset transactions;
- Ensure records are up to date, accurate, verified, and instructions are processed in a timely manner;
- Establish operational processes with clients and within MUFG internal systems;
- Analyze and perform controls on funds prior to onboarding to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Support the client onboarding process and assist in preparing reports for senior management, boards of directors, committees, and clients;
- Assess issues and escalate as necessary;
- Manage junior team members and report to the Depositary Manager/Directors.
Your Profile:
- 4-5 years' experience in the banking and financial industry;
- Knowledge of depositary duties and responsibilities;
- Understanding of Private Equity, Real Estate, FOHF, and Hedge Funds business, particularly focusing on ownership verification;
- Ability to work with various systems;
- High level of risks and controls knowledge;
- Effective stakeholder interaction skills;
- Demonstrate autonomy, teamwork, accountability, flexibility, and strong organizational skills;
- Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel, and excellent written and spoken English language skills.
