Mission Statement:
We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Expert to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring that investment firms comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Audit and assessment of investment firms' regulatory compliance, based on prudential reporting and reports from internal control functions, approved auditors, and other submitted documents.
- Risk assessment, in collaboration with internal specialists, to identify potential risks faced by investment firms.
- Conducting legal research and resolving complex legal questions related to the regulatory framework applicable to investment firms.
- Application of legal powers of the CSSF, management of enforcement procedures, including procedural aspects, in relation to investment firms.
- Contributing to AML/CTF supervision aspects, in collaboration with internal specialists.
- Ongoing development of regulatory expertise (MiFID, MICAR, ESG) and handling of enquiries related to the practical application of the MiFID regulatory framework to investment firms.
Your Profile:
Our ideal candidate will possess a University degree in law (with a focus on financial law or economic law) or economics, finance, or management. Additional qualifications such as the certificate of complementary training in Luxembourg law and a PhD in law will be considered advantageous. Relevant work experience in a renowned local law firm or supervisory authority is also desirable. Key skills include knowledge of the regulatory framework, excellent writing and analytical skills, and proficiency in French and English. Good communication and organizational skills are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be hired as a public employee under a permanent contract and may be eligible for civil servant status.
