Tax Compliance Manager

A permanent contract is available with a client specializing in investment strategies across all property types in the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all filing and reporting obligations
- Lead the tax compliance team in the performance of their functions, including VAT registrations in Luxembourg, preparation and filing of functional currency and fiscal unity requests, review of variable interest computations, VAT and CIT returns prepared by service providers for Luxembourg and foreign holding companies and property companies (17 European jurisdictions), supervision of VAT refund claims, coordination and review of transfer pricing reporting, coordination of US tax elections of the holding and property companies, maintaining internal records of tax filings and compliance calendar, managing interaction between external administrators and tax service providers to ensure information exchange works correctly, work closely with transaction tax team members and keep them informed of all relevant tax compliance and reporting obligations, act as the contact person for tax authorities in Luxembourg and abroad, including local tax audits and corresponding to requests of the tax Authorities
Requirements:
- Master degree in Tax, Economics or Finance
- Minimum 8 years of experience within a Big Four company or equivalent or in-house in a tax compliance role
- Knowledge of the Real Estate Investment environment is a plus
- Fluency in English is mandatory; French, German or Dutch is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proactive, rigorous and ability to multitask, identify priorities and respect deadlines
- Capacity to work autonomously and under pressure
- VAT registration coordination in Luxembourg
- Functional currency and fiscal unity requests submission
- Review of variable interest calculations
- VAT and CIT returns review for 17 European jurisdictions
- Supervision of VAT refund claims processing
- Transfer pricing reporting coordination
- US tax elections coordination for holding and property companies
- Maintaining tax filing and compliance records
- Cross-functional collaboration with external administrators and tax service providers
- Representation for tax authorities in Luxembourg and abroad
