This position involves analyzing the closing documents of investment funds, identifying potential irregularities and risks, and performing thematic reviews on key topics in the investment funds area. As a Senior Investment Fund Specialist, you will work closely with fund managers, service providers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the regulatory framework governing investment funds, including UCITS, AIFMD, and CESR/ESMA. Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential, with German also being a plus. A Master's degree in Business Administration and Management or Finance, along with relevant professional experience and certifications, will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Prudential Supervision: Perform thorough analyses of closing documents to identify potential risks and irregularities, and prepare analytical reports detailing findings and recommendations for supervisory measures.
- Thematic Reviews: Conduct regular thematic reviews on key topics in the investment funds area, including valuation, NAV determination, accounting, investment compliance, expenses, and income.
- Communication: Engage directly with fund managers, service providers, and stakeholders to discuss findings, provide guidance, and ensure compliance.
- Collaboration: Contribute to the development of prudential supervision approaches and related analytical tools, working closely with colleagues and industry experts.
Requirements:
- Mastery of the regulatory framework governing investment funds.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proven track record of experience in investment funds, external audit, valuation, financial analysis, risk management, or compliance.
- Proficiency in English, with German a plus.
- A Master's degree in Business Administration and Management or Finance, along with relevant certifications and qualifications.
The successful candidate will be hired as a public employee under a permanent contract, with opportunities for professional growth and development within the organization.
