The **Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences** (FHSE) brings together expertise from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, social and educational sciences. People from across 20 disciplines are working within the Faculty. Along with the **disciplinary** approach a very ambitious interdisciplinary research culture has been developed.
The faculty’s research and teaching focuses on **social, economic, political **and** educational** issues with the common goal of contributing to an inclusive, open and resourceful society. The FHSE offers six Bachelor and twenty Master degrees and a doctoral school providing students with the necessary knowledge and high-qualified skills to succeed in their future career.
**Your Role...**:
The Institute of Luxembourgish Language and Literature brings together researchers who engage with literary and linguistic practices at the intersection of (socio)linguistics, (comparative) literature, didactics and computational methods.
The main tasks will be to
- Develop tools and methods for the digital literary studies of Luxembourgish literature
- Develop comparative methodology for Luxembourgish literature
- Contribute to research on the didactics of multilingual Luxembourgish literature
- Disseminate research results in (inter)national conferences and journals
- Contribute to teaching in Luxemburgistik-Strands of the Bachelor in European Cultures and the Master in Secondary Education
**What we expect from you**:
- PhD in Comparative Literature (in Francophone, Germanophone or Anglophone Literature, preferably in comparison with a small/minor European language literature)
- Strong expertise in Digital Humanities
- Excellent command of English, French and/or German (written and spoken), Luxembourgish is an asset
