**Role Purpose**:
As a Category Manager for HR, you will be responsible for the sourcing activities for HR categories within the Vodafone Procurement Company. You will have a strategic and operational focus across all 20+ markets in scope. In this role, you will ensure that category strategies are developed, agreed and executed to deliver the optimal total cost of ownership, deliver savings targets in line with Vodafone’s own savings methodology, drive and demonstrate value add whilst securing the delivery of projects, products, and services across the areas, thus managing risk.

**You will**:

- Develop procurement category strategies for the categories in scope and gain buy-in from relevant senior stakeholders to execute those strategies.
- Proactively drive enforcement of category strategies, and identify and realize savings opportunities by working with Vodafone’s management, key stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Develop, implement, and continuously evolve approach to technology, processes, and tools required for end-to-end category management.
- Build and maintain a strong partnership with senior stakeholders, relevant policy owners, and the community at a group and local market level to ensure continuous alignment with objectives.
- Maintain an excellent network internally and externally to identify and promote best practices for innovation, operational excellence, improved customer experience, and savings.
- Act as a focal point for the performance management of global and local suppliers.
- Drive end-to-end sourcing projects including complex contractual and pricing models.
- Monitor spend and compliance per Global Policy and liaise with key stakeholders.
- Secure Vodafone’s competitive advantage in relevant markets.

**Core Competencies**:

- Relevant category management experience and a procurement or supply chain background
- Category knowledge and expertise in Corporate Services Categories (Legal, FS, Consulting, HR, Travel, Meetings, Events).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Effective influencing and persuasion skills, with the ability to engage with virtual teams.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with the drive to draw conclusions and finalize deals.
- Strong numerical and reasoning skills combined with synthesizing and presenting key messages to senior stakeholders.
- A flexible approach and being an intelligent team player able to engage with business stakeholders at all levels to drive change
- The ability to think ‘out of the box’ and bring continuous innovation to the program including benefit opportunities and the development of new commercial levers.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and delivery across various functions and geographies, providing delivery rigor and question as required.
- Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
