**_Job Description _**:

- This is an exciting opportunity to join our Private Banking team in the Luxembourg Branch. _
- Handelsbanken Luxembourg Branch started its activities in 1978 and is part of Handelsbanken Global Banking (HOG). We support the Bank’s customers in the focus markets with their international business. The Branch core business is Private banking (discretionary management and investment services) and mortgage lending in Spain, Portugal and France. _
- We are looking for a Head Private Banking who will report in to the General Manager of the Luxembourg Branch. The main responsibilities will be the following: _
- _Client responsibility and back up for client managers _
- _Develop and lead the Private Banking team _
- _Represent the Luxembourg Branch and the Private Banking offering within the focus market branches network and externally to the Bank _
- _Develop and implement a plan to promote the unique Private Banking opportunities in conjunction with the countries where Handelsbanken operates (namely Sweden and Norway) _
- _Be responsible towards the local supervisory authorities for the implementation and respect, within the Luxembourg branch, of the MiFID rules _
- _Ensure the department has strong controls and processes to ensure compliance with all regulations in this area (AML, MifiD, SFDR, etc.) _
- _Work with the European Mortgage Team to develop client opportunities _
- _Be an active member of the local management team _

The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the success of the overall objectives of the Luxembourg Branch through their work with developing new client opportunities, ensuring strong adherence to controls and regulations, as well as with their work in the management team. _

- _Cross border expertise _
- _Strong problem solving and analytical skills _
- _Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish _
- _Leadership skills and experience _
- _Knowledge of banking / financial services products and services _
- _Strong knowledge of MiFID and SFDR rules_
