**Role Purpose**:
As the Procurement Lead for Purpose, Planet, and Sustainability you will be responsible for designing the sustainable procurement strategy and implementing the associated supply chain improvements. You will drive and inspire us on this important journey, making a significant impact on the health of our planet, through our supplier ecosystem. You will have a significant impact to influence the £24bn we spend across our supply chain to limit global warming, preserving the environment for societies, economies, and the natural world.

You will have a good knowledge and understanding of the wider sustainability agenda and can translate this into a strategic vision relevant to Vodafone Supply Chain. This is critical to clearly define the journey that we must take together. Your contribution will be significant in setting the target, and pathway, and driving accountability to deliver. You relish the opportunity to make an impact on the world You will understand the urgency for change and your energy will drive and inspire those around you, engaging everyone in our Supply Chain.

**Key Responsibilities**:
To be successful in this role, you will understand procurement, having worked in a Category, Sustainability, or Operations role. You will have a good knowledge of the supply chain sustainability requirements and challenges to implement the associated Scope 3 supply chain improvements to meet our Net Zero targets of -50% by 2030, and Net Zero by 2040. You should be able to demonstrate strong capability in change management, combined with the experience and ability to manage and inspire across the organization and supply ecosystem at the senior level with CPO/CEO. You will be a natural collaborator. You will have a strong data focus and background which is critical to developing the data strategy, target setting, and tracking to translate strategy into executable delivery plans to ‘make it happen’.

The critical objectives and requirements of the role are:
**Strategy and Enablement**
- Further develop the purpose and sustainability agenda for the ONESCM organization, by creating a vision and model which inspires, motivates, accelerates, and delivers on Vodafone goals.
- Develop the Sustainable Procurement Strategy including a supplier engagement approach, procurement capability building, target setting, and data enhancement strategy.
- Manage the broad set of stakeholders, influencing and driving the sustainability agenda.

**Supplier Engagement**
- Further develop the supplier engagement framework and roadmap to accelerate NetZero targets.
- Work closely with critical suppliers (Tier 1 suppliers defined by C02 emissions) and the relevant category teams to build engagement programs centered on our 5 critical KPIs
- Collaborate across the Telco industry to work collaboratively with common suppliers to simplify and standardize targets, execution, and delivery of the Net Zero path ( via JAC, GMSA)

**Capability Building**
- Create the procurement capability and enablement framework to build and deliver virtual training programs and on-demand content, increasing skills and knowledge.
- Embed category sustainability strategy into the category management toolkit. Ensure each category strategy addresses Tier 1 suppliers, roadmaps, and investments. Ensure the Strategy has a data roadmap to drive transparency in reporting real data (a
