The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) active in the fields of materials, environment and IT. As a Junior HR Officer, you will play a vital role in HR administration by managing daily tasks and providing HR-related information and guidance to employees and managers. You will ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with administration processes related to absences, leaves, and holidays (e.g., sickness, maternity/parental leaves, extraordinary leaves).
- Managing activities related to our flexible time system.
- Producing various certificates.
- Monitoring deadlines (e.g., end of contracts, work permits, probation periods) and coordinating with business departments to gather necessary information.
- Handling HR processes for new joiners and leavers, including drafting work contracts and amendments, welcoming new employees, and arranging medical appointments.
- Accurately tracking ongoing stay/work permits for non-EU national employees.
- Ensuring HR databases and administrative processes are up-to-date and accurate.
- Ensuring all employee documentation complies with legal requirements and internal procedures.
- Managing the administrative aspects of LIST apartments.
**Education**
- Bac+5 or equivalent by experience
**Experience and skills**
- Ideally, you have completed internships in an HR department.
- Possess a client-oriented attitude.
- Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.
- Be disciplined and detail-oriented.
- Be a team player with a hands-on approach.
- Proficient in English and French for business communication; proficiency in Luxembourgish is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HR Access is an advantage.
