With focus on 'finished goods', the business has a strategic target to service customers mainly in Europe increasing to 10m tons by 2024. Export shipments are also a very important market and all modalities, Road, Rail, Inland Waterways & Short/Deep Sea operators are engaged to meet our needs and customer demands.

Currently all sites have their own structure and logistics team locally, who work extremely closely with Supply Chain, Mill Ops and Commercial in formulating requirements and planning/utilization of bought in resources. European Procurement Organisation are also a fundamental part of logistics activity with their contract management covering approximately 60% of Long Products freight spend. With significant changes over the last 12 to 18 months brought on by external factors, we as ArcelorMittal Europe - Long Products have a desire to build and develop more advanced processes and efficient routes fully optimizing all opportunities.

Logistics function is responsible for shipping out 8m to 10m tons of finished products. The product portfolio & profile include Wire Rod, Sheet Piles, Sections, Rail, Merchant Bars, Mining Sections & Rebars with full intention to improve our ‘delivered’ on time in full performance as well as cost control and mitigation actions against very volatile market fluctuations.

**In the role of Logistics transformation, the main responsibilities are**:

- Logistic improvement projects - Align and direct next steps to meet business and product line expectations.
- Driving safety, service, efficiency and cost benefits back into transportation activity.
- Work across all Product Lines, ensuring logistics and freight are fully supporting developments and company strategies/objectives.
- Be the central 'focal' point for all Long Product logístical requirements and work with Logistics stakeholders in the mill and EPO
- Bring knowledge, expertise, support and guidance to the existing structure and organisation.
- Identify areas of concern and generate action plans/initiatives to address.
- Improve and develop direct relationships & link with supporting vendors/suppliers, specifically for our own Long Products needs & requirements.
- Create actions to protect the business against resource shortages caused by the pandemic as well as the huge rate increases in the sector.

**Profile required**
- Bachelor’s degree or above in business, logistics or in related field
- Minimum 5-year experience in supply chain operations, logistics or in related field.
- Experience in project management and control.
- Analytical capability to quantify plans and actions.
- Familiarity with supply chain management concepts.
- Experience in managing multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of taking own initiative and confidence in taking ownership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex topics and present to broad audience.
- Advanced level of English (any other European language will be considered a plus)
- Proficiency in office databases
