**Your Role...**:
To support its activities, the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) is recruiting a Project Officer to contribute to the coordination of the IAS projects and initiatives.
The Project Officer will be involved in planning, coordinating, and monitoring projects and initiatives within the IAS. Collaborating closely with the Head of IAS and the IAS Project Manager, the Project Officer will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of projects and initiatives under the supervision of and in collaboration with the head of IAS and IAS Project Manager. Examples of current projects include IAS Audacity, Young Academics, Brainstorm and Distinguished, and support to new European research projects.
- Organize selection meetings with the 2 IAS committees.
- Provide briefings, recommendations, presentations, and project-specific reports to the Head of IAS, the IAS Project Manager, and other relevant stakeholders. Collaborate within the IAS team for the smooth operation of daily activities. Maintain the IAS dashboard.
- Participate in committees and working groups for ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.
- Organize various IAS events and workshops: contact external researchers and speakers, propose agenda and monitor organization with the diverse stakeholders.
- Maintain IAS communication through the IAS website and LinkedIn page: publish IAS-related news and information on a regular basis, as well as the status of IAS-financed projects.
- Participate in IAS initiatives to raise the attractiveness of the IAS internationally (i.e. IAS European and Worldwide networks).
- Participate in regular IAS team exchanges with the university faculties, Inter disciplinary Centerss and relevant central services to ensure a smooth progression of IAS tasks.
- Support for IAS administrative tasks.
**What we expect from you**:
- At least Bachelor’s degree or equivalent by work experience. 2-4 years of relevant work experience, including knowledge in implementing small
- scale projects through their entire lifecycle.
- Experience managing multiple tasks of varying scale and complexity simultaneously.
- Good oral and written communication skills: experience in writing reports, meeting minutes and social media required.
- Experience in an academic and/or research environment is an asset.
- Demonstrated integrity, excellent judgment, confidentiality, and diplomatic skills.
- Strong organization skills and problem solving.
- Team-oriented and comfortable working in a multidisciplinary, multicultural, and multilingual environment.
- Proficient in English and French, both spoken and written. German is an asset.
- A first experience in Project Management and experience with a Project Management software (i.e. MS Project) are assets.
