The KYC onboarding position is a small team that offers a range of interesting interactions. You will be regularly in conversation with marketing representatives, financial institutions, and service providers. This role plays a crucial part in the process of bringing new investments to our institution and provides excellent visibility for our businesses.

Summary of our opportunity
The investor onboarding team is responsible for overseeing the investor AML/KYC processes in collaboration with our third-party administrators. This role entails daily interaction with administrators, marketing, client relations teams (MCR), compliance, and investors. Our investor base spans across Asia, USA, Europe, and Latam.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills are necessary for this position. The team is expected to foster strong relationships with other stakeholders. It is crucial for this team to ensure that MCR teams are fully briefed on discussions with investors, as MCR retains ownership of the investor relationship. In the event of any challenges in the investor onboarding process, it is important to promptly escalate the matter within MCR to facilitate a timely resolution.
Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Engage with investors, MCR and other parties to ensure an effectively managed onboarding process and a smooth and efficient client experience
- Take responsibility for AML/KYC services from third-party administrators to our Funds, setting and monitoring service levels and KPIs and participating in quarterly service review meetings
- Ensure an effective process for periodic refreshes of the AML/KYC information and facilitate the engagement with investors
- Act as a mediator between third parties and investors to negotiate a mutually acceptable resolution to issues that arise
- Ensure that issues are escalated in a timely manner and are captured within the Operations governance framework
- Work closely with MCR, Administrators and Compliance to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
Key Requirements/ Qualifications
You will have demonstrable experience of:
Essential
- Deep KYC/AML knowledge for Luxembourg, attention to detail and ability to understand and deal with complex cases. US KYC experience is a plus.
- Background of working within the financial services industry. It may be that this is a position that you have undertaken in a stand-alone capacity, or it has formed part of a broader role
- Track record in the management of operational processes. Delivery focused.
- Experience working with third-party administrators and awareness of regulatory compliance in financial services and Luxembourg
- Very good Excel and Power Point skills
- Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to develop meaningful partnerships with internal and external parties
Desirable
- Language skills are an advantage
- A sound understanding of private and public markets, ideally prior exposure to Private Debt and Private equity fund structures.
