You will join the Structural Composite Unit and the Design and Manufacturing of Advanced Composite (DMAC) research group of Materials Research and Technology (MRT) department. The DMAC research group combines expertise in computational performance evaluation, design and performance optimization, and sustainable manufacturing.**How will you contribute?**:

- Your will:

- Develop algorithms and tools for optimization, in particular shape and topology optimization for the design of lightweight structures.
- Participate to meetings with industrial stakeholders in the framework of the project to determine requirements and define use-cases.
- Implement workflows based on Python for automated execution of numerical simulations for parametric studies and design optimization.
- Oversee the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.
- Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
- Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Specialization in optimization algorithms, structural mechanics, and composite materials.
- Experience with shape and topology optimization methods, particularly for lightweight structures is a plus.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including the industrial partners.
- Detail-oriented approach to documenting the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
- Excellent job autonomy in the management of technical, time management and organizational issues.
- English, both written and oral.
