**Mission - Tasks**
The Consultant provides the following services:
- Advise on insurance coverage for its main areas of risk, taking into consideration excesses, limits, and levels of self
- insurance.
- understand the insurance requirements and risk appetite
- advice, following consultation, which additional insurance policies are required in respect of each class of insurance that meets the needs and protects for the required level of cover
- provide benchmarking analysis to allow to compare itself to similar peer institutions including extent of cover and adequacy of limits
- provide advice regarding the tendering of insurance services (concerning the approach towards brokers (one or several brokers etc.), the preparation of terms of reference, and the evaluation of proposals received)
- summarise results of the analysis performed and design a target operating model
- develop written procedures and training materials to provide user-friendly guidance on insurance management services
- perform any research and analysis in the areas of insurance services and create relevant summaries and reports as required
Optional: project management services
- plan and coordinate project tasks to assure their timely completion of project deliverables
- identify risks and manage issues related to projects
- provide weekly and monthly status report on project progress, risks, and issues to the project steering committee and the PMO
- prepare topics to be presented for the decision-making by each project’s steering committee
- create the project artefacts required by the project management methodology for each project (project mandate, project charter, project requirements and scope, design document, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, project closure, project status reports and project resource capacity plan)
**Skills**
The Consultant will have the following skills:
Technical skills:
- overall direct experience in insurance services of more than 6 years
- significant experience in setting up contract management and insurance governance frameworks
- previous experience in similar assignments in financial or European institutions will be considered as an advantage
- experience working with insurance providers, ideally experience with defining technical specifications for the provision of insurance services
- business analysis skills, ability to understand business needs/requirements and translate them into technical services and solutions
- experience managing projects, proven delivery results
- excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
- strong skills in Office 365 tools
Soft skills:
- proactive, self-starter, able to drive topics forward
- ability to create PowerPoint presentation and present technical concepts clearly and concisely
- ability to communicate effectively with technical resources and senior management
- team player with good collaboration skills, willing to share knowledge and experience freely
- attention to detail, ability to work in a structured fashion, ensuring appropriate documentation is produced
- meeting and workshop facilitation experience as well as experience in delivering effective presentations to various audiences
