TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Material Management department is responsible to support aircraft maintenance operations with regard to material requirements.
We are looking for a Manager Material Services who will be responsible for the supervision and performance of the following teams: Material Repairs, Warranty and Critical Material Supply Desk (Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Desk).
Critical Material Supply Desk
- Assure availability of parts critically required at main base to avoid work stoppage.
- Assure maximum support (parts, equipment, and tools) for our aircraft undergoing checks at main base or for AOG.
- Support Maintenance Customers with regards to parts, tools and equipment.
- Supervise all spare parts pooling as to charges and cost.
- Monitor the cost of loans, exchanges, and purchases.
- Review and approve invoices.
Material Repairs
- Implement repair policies and approve related processes.
- Negotiation and approval of contracts for the testing, repair, exchange and/or overhaul of components, parts and equipment.
- Review and approve component repair invoices.
- Assure that repair costs of all material are in line with the performance of the equipment.
Material Warranty
- Implement warranty policies and approve related processes.
- Negotiation and approval of contracts for the warranty.
- Approve warranty credits/invoices.
- Monitor warranty outcomes and produce quarterly reports.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain or in any other related field.-
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a procurement function and areas such as sourcing and vendor management. Experience in the Maintenance & Engineering field would be considered as an advantage.-
- A previous experience in a managerial position including people management is required.-
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, procurement techniques and best practices.-
- Ability to handle stress, priorities and to work under tight deadlines.-
- Results oriented and solution driven with good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.-
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.-
- Methodical and organized way of working with high attention to detail.-
- Dealing effectively with complexity and having good problem-solving skills.-
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to handle and resolve conflicts.-
- Goal-oriented approach.WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Permanent full-time position based in Luxembourg.-
- The position demands a regular presence at the office and requires vacation and other absences to be planned to avoid conflicting with service needs.-
- Flexibility is needed with working hours.-
- Occasional travel may be required.-
- A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.
